Beatles + Stones
The Beatles and the Stones were an ever present musical soundtrack to Steve’s childhood . From the beautiful psychedelia of Sgt. Pepper and Their Satanic Majesties Request, which never failed to stimulate and inspire in it’s wealth of surrealist visuality to the incredible eclecticism of revolver .This unexpected diversity of collaged elements is something which has remained in his thinking ever since and become totally integral to Steve’s working process , constantly experimenting in taking popular iconography and fusing and melding them together in striking and unusual compositions to create new and unexpected narratives . Here the Eggman rubs shoulders with the Devil whilst Jagger and Lennon look on.
